I may have posted this album before but it’s real good and I don’t care.
Regional Individual events are out and there is no barbell. I love the workouts. “I got a fever and the only prescription is more dumbbell” – Dave Castro. I also really enjoy reading the internet comments about them. People are so negative, and I really think they don’t have a full understanding of fitness, and how the games, regionals and the open are programmed.
I feel like the regional workouts are much more accessible than years past. Yes the dumbbell is heavy and I probably couldn’t complete a single one of those workouts under the time cap, but it seems the programming is shifting to match the level of fitness of these athletes and to test their overall fitness. Top regional athletes will smash these workouts, mid level regional athletes will have an event or two they struggle with and and an event they crush, and I really think there will be some lower level regional athletes that struggle with these workouts. (Anyone making regionals is extremely fit and me stating some may struggle is relative to the people around them) That oh lunge and oh squat workouts are going to be huge separators. Also two 150lb kettlebells are no joke.
If you didn’t notice I have been programming dumbbell work since the start of this cycle. After the open I evaluated what we missed in the year prior and that was some dumbbell work. I am going to keep programming dumbbells into the work and don’t be scared to modify METCON’s to include dumbbells instead of the barbell. Even though I am still a big believer in the barbell and basing training around the barbell, the dumbbell is a great training tool that allows us to mix things up.
So I am doing triple threat for the third year. I am not promising to be in shape and doing it to just have fun. I am also not a huge fan of competing I would rather just go into the gym and let the thought of snatching 185 overwhelm me so that I miss it. “Fear is the mind killer”, “Don’t let fear run your life” both of those statements currently apply when I start snatching heavy. I do however already have some pretty awesome tights for triple threat that I will be wearing.
Also for reals I need to find someone who can design/make better my logo. If you know someone please have them contact me.
*The following are my own views and opinions with links to help sway your personal views to a more liberal way of thinking*
http://www.pewresearch.org/fact-tank/2017/02/10/darwin-day/ Only 33% of American’s believe that humans evolved solely due to natural processes. If you are in the other 72% I have numerous books with evidence that supports the fact that we are evolved through natural processes that I can loan to you. The world is a much more interesting place when you ask why, and not use because Jésus. I am currently trying to learn and understand what I can about quantum mechanics, not because I need to, but I have a desire to.
http://money.cnn.com/2017/05/02/news/economy/overtime-pay-bill-passes-house/ Once again another great example of how republicans do not care about the average worker in the United States. It’s interesting to me how a politician can call for tax cuts and mean that the wealthiest few will benefit from the tax cuts yet still get the average American to vote for them.

https://www.vox.com/2017/5/11/15622900/trump-economist-interview and this sums it up perfectly. I’m pretty sure the leader of the free world has no idea what Keynesian economics is. I am actually a fan of the use of Keynesian economics when the economy is in a down turn. I am not a believer in the concepts of it when the economy is growing. http://www.tradingeconomics.com/united-states/gdp-growth The US economy grew by 1.6% in 2016. To some that growth is not fast enough. What I believe is that the a slow growth in an already very stable economy is the best for future economic stability. When an economy grows too quickly (typically a GDP above 3.5%) you get a faster rise in inflation. To keep inflation at a stable rate you in a way want to limit the economic growth of the economy. But you say that stifles the truthfulness of capitalism and keeps people from further advancing the economy, and you would be correct, but we have learned time and time again that unregulated capitalism leads to greater wealth disparity. Through strengthening the middle class and the wealth of many over the wealth of the few, we would see a more successful and better regulated economy.
Speaking of capitalism http://www.npr.org/sections/thetwo-way/2016/01/28/464708137/cant-buy-a-ticket-to-that-concert-you-want-to-see-blame-bots look I think this is a shit practice and should be illegal, but it currently isn’t and there is no out cry from the artist to have this stop, particularly when all they care about is how many tickets are sold and not how many people are at their show.
http://www.npr.org/2017/05/09/527669335/president-trump-fires-james-comey-as-fbi-director Ah yes, the FBI is investigating him, but he fired the director because he was bad at his job even though he has made numerous statements that support him during the campaign, after, and in the first months of his Presidency.
http://www.cnn.com/2017/05/09/politics/trump-paris-climate-agreement-decision/ This shouldn’t be a delayed decision he should proceed with the Paris Climate Agreement, and make steps for the United States to take the lead on climate change.
Hahaha, that will not happen. The earth is screwed when the president states climate change is a hoax. I’m just going to come out and say it, I am over this presidency. (Not that I wasn’t before it ever started but I really am now) I tried to give him a chance. I thought maybe the office would make him wake up and realize the world isn’t so small and short sighted. It hasn’t. He continues to back religious fundamentalist, bad economic policy, terrible relations with foreign governments. He praises former presidents who were slaveholders, foreign leaders who are despots, and ignore atrocities taking place around the world. His healthcare plan is garbage, yet he praised Australia’s healthcare system. Really though, everyday it’s something new with this guy. The only time there is break the craziness is when he goes to Mar-a-lago.
